Let the updates begin

So I know Thanksgiving was a few weeks ago but I am going to finish our family update from Thanksgiving. Here are some more pictures of everyone. We had a great time with my aunts and uncles and cousins. It has been a while since we have all been together (really since we moved down to Georgia) so it was nice. We all missed my grandmother but she would have enjoyed knowing how much fun was had and how thankful we were for another year to celebrate all God has given to us.

We spent the first weekend of December decorating for Christmas and getting ready for cold weather (well kinda chilly I guess is the better term for our weather here ). As we spent the afternoon unpacking and repacking our warm clothes (and maternity clothes finally!!), Savannah found a few ways to entertain herself. She decided she was going to be a doctor for her bear. She found these old cords (I think they go to electronic devices that have been stolen but don't worry we still have them for some reason!) and decided they looked fun to play with.

Checking him out

Ut-oh, Mr. Bear the outlook is grim...

Don't worry...everything is ok, we found a pulse, shheww that was a close one!

Savannah and daddy did all the work for the tree and it is so cute! We then put up some lights outside and of course Savannah loved that as well. She is getting pretty excited for Christmas and I think she is just excited because we are excited. This has been a really special year for us as we have been blessed with another child and are really understanding even more the sacrifice that Jesus made for us when he was born for the sole purpose to die for each of us and our sins and restore us to a right relationship with God the Father. Savannah has been learning more and more about this lately and it is really sweet to hear her talk about Jesus and the excitement in her voice.
Finished product looks great!

Isaiah was not too keen on the hat, maybe next year

Savannah again playing with all of the bins we had out all weekend, such a silly girl

These are not our Christmas card pictures of Isaiah (we are in the process of sending those as I type so if you are on the list you will get one and if you don't just let me know and we will send one your way!) but they are super cute and I just had to share them.

4 Months
Last week was Isaiah's 4 month appt. and he is doing great! He weighs 16 lbs. 2 oz. (80th percentile) and is 25 3/4 in. (again 80th percentile). I thought wow, that is great I would consider that pretty average then I looked back at where Savannah was at this age. She was in the 50-70th percentile so I guess he still has potential to be big like his sister, or just an average boy which is wonderful! We did have a few guys over last week that are looking to do a church plant in Savannah in the next year and one of the guys thought Savannah was 3 or 4 because she is the same size as his 4 year old, we thought it was funny. Ok, sorry off topic... back to Isaiah.

He loves to smile and laugh and play with toys. He is a good kicker which makes daddy proud of course! He is very social and loves to be talked to and sung to and see everything going on around him. He has a great personality and is really just happy all the time. He has had some trouble sleeping lately because of a stuffy nose so he has been waking up at night and just wants to eat but hopefully we will return to the good sleep of a few months ago soon when this stuffy nose is better. He is just such a joy and we can't believe it has already been over 4 months since he was born, crazy!

Currently we are both home because Tom is sick with some type of infection (not strep) and has been off of work yesterday and today. Savannah had a runny nose all last week then got an ear infection and fever this weekend. Of course you would never know as she is acting just normal and cracking us up! Sorry for the lack of updates recently but there you go. I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas season so far!
