It's been a while....

We seem to have a theme around our blog. Long breaks. We seem to take long breaks between our posts. Obviously we didn't make a resolution to post more on the blog because well.... we haven't. So here is one of the reasons we haven't posted...

Look at the quality. It's great isn't it! Yep, our camera seems to have met some water or possibly the floor via a little person's hand. Don't fret we didn't lose the pictures (although we did leave our cord in NC and just got it in the mail todday, again oops!). It's in the process of being replaced (thanks Stephens!) An interesting note though, our computer reads SD cards so we could have uploaded weeks ago but didn't even realize it until today! HA HA HA
Anyway, we had a good time in NC and I got the chance to celebrate my 30th (GASP!) birthday with my family. My sister and her husband were so sweet and let us have a party at their house. We also got to spend some time with family and friends.

My good friend Shanna had a little boy about two weeks after Isaiah. We wish we were closer to let these little boys grow up together. They would just stand there and look at each other. It was so cute.
Addison is such a cutie, look at those blue eyes!

Isaiah's favorite thing to do at Grammy and Poppy's house was to sit in the chair and look out the window. It was beautiful with all the snow but he just loved it.

Happy Birthday Elmo??? He found it and wanted to wear it. They love new places because there are so many things to explore. They did a lot of exploring and we left quite a mess at Grammy and Poppie's (sorry)!

Savannah was so excited to help Grammy in the kitchen. Look at that beautiful cake!

I love her!

Isaiah checking out Harrison's rocking chair. He loved playing with Harrison and his fun toys. We even got to spend some time with Harrison while he was attempting to potty train. I can't believe how much he has grown.
Harrison and Savannah really wanted to help me open presents. Since it was right after Christmas it was hard to understand that the presents weren't for them. I was glad to have the help!
Jayne and Jason know how much we enjoy Mexican food so we had a taco bar complete with Margaritas (no alcohol of course) Savannah really liked sharing mommy's drink (I think Isaiah even liked it).
Savannah has been talking about her birthday a lot lately. It's a shame she doesn't understand the concept of time and that 7 months is pretty far away. Today she told me that we needed to go to the store to get more napkins for her birthday. I asked why she needed napkins she looked at me and said "To wipe out mouths mommy!" Why did I ask, I should have known!
Isaiah and Savannah (with some help from daddy) picked out these two wall hangings that spelled out faith and love with pictures of objects to make the letters. I loved them. I am not sure why Isaiah decided to take off his shirt but he was insistent upon it. Just make yourself at home.

Tom came home the week before my birthday because he had to work. Well work he did. He was working on a "project" all week and wouldn't tell me what it was. He wrote out an AWESOME poem in my card with clues about what it was. I guessed and guessed and guessed and never figured it out. My first guess was that he fixed the leaky sink. Isn't it sad that for my 30th birthday I wanted a leaky sink fixed. Come on Sue! Anyway, this is what he was working on.  When you walk in our front door this is what you see.
I LOVE IT! Our friend from church took these pictures a few months ago and he had them framed and hung them up. The pictures on the side are interspersed with great shots of the city of Savannah.
This is hanging just to the right of the front door.  Look carefully at what it spells out.  STEPHENS. Again I LOVE IT!
Then in our dining room he put up the two pictures the kids got for me (see how they connect) along with a really great prayer that Tom's mom gave me for Christmas.  I won't type the whole thing out but if you know the song  Invade  by Watermark it is almost it word for word. I love that it is a prayer that is asking Jesus to invade the walls of this house.

THEN.....

I went upstairs....

to find this.......

So most of you haven't been to our house and if you have you might not have been upstairs. We have a walk up attic that is finished, heated and cooled and had the original floors. Let's just say they were not great and it was just this great BIG extra space that we couldn't really use (well the stairs go from our bedroom and are SUPER steep and narrow, not up to code at ALL). BUT, we loved the space and the idea of using it as a playroom for the kids. It's about 500 sq. feet with a couple dormers and a low roof. What a great play space. We were talking about carpeting it but just hadn't. Tom had it done while we were gone and it looks great. We spend LOTS of time up there each day playing, reading and just rolling around having fun. When we bought the house we liked the idea of using it and 2 1/2 years later we can!  Tom did a great job celebrating my birthday and I am very thankful to the Lord for giving me such a FANTASTIC husband! I love you!

Ohh and here is a video of the kids on their rocking animals (thank you Stephens)!
