Savannah's Birthday (party)

Savannah has had trouble this year with understanding the use of the words "birthday" and "birthday party". The problem lies in the fact that she understands the word "birthday" to mean when your friends come over to play and celebrate your birthday. She finally got that her Birthday was Sunday and her Party was Monday. I have been watching several friend's little ones (4 additional kids)all week this week so we invited a few other ones over and had a party! Savannah just wanted to play, swing, read, eat and enjoy her friends so that is exactly what we did. Tom took a little extra time for lunch and we had a good ole' party!!!

Of course there had to be balloons involved. She woke up Sunday morning and told me "Now daddy can go buy me some balloons", looks like we have a new birthday ritual!

 We headed outside to play and do some swinging. Unfortunately we only have one swing and there were 8 kids!

Nothing says party like pizza, fruit, pretzels and cupcakes!

After all of our friends left and we napped (all of us) Savannah wanted to build a fort in the living room (why not?)

 We then decided to venture out in a storm for some buy 1 get 1 frozen yogurt via the library reading program! Let's just say the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves! We were going to be busy almost every other night this week so we wanted to celebrate our special 4 year old just one more time!

 Sampling the German Chocolate cake (she went with this along with chocolate chips covered in sprinkles, whipped cream and a cherry on top). I let her get more than her usual amount (she got about 4 oz because it was 45 calories an ounce, awesome!)

 And loved it.....

 The two men shared some (read Isaiah didn't eat much so daddy enjoyed the chocolate/vanilla swirl with cookie dough)

He wanted to wear daddy's hat all night it was so adorable with his shaggy hair!

We are so blessed with a handsome 2 year old and a beautiful 4 year old! Praise God for His many blessings!!!
