Memorial Day

Don't be too shocked, but we are doing a blog about current happenings...... I know it's been a while since that has happened!

We enjoyed the beautiful weather here today to get outside and enjoy some family time together. We tried to find a memorial day parade but I think this is the only holiday that Savannah doesn't have a parade for.  We spent part of the day at Skidaway Island State Park and then headed to a boat put-in up the river from the State Park to do a little swimming at Butter Bean Beach. I did not get pictures of the swimming because I had to hold onto Ellie the whole time to keep her from going straight into the water above her face! Tom had Savannah and Isaiah who both wanted to "swim". Let's just say we are hoping someone in the family under the age of 6 learns to swim this summer (it might be Ellie at the way it is looking).

 She is one cute baby!

Not a bad spot to picnic if I do say so myself!
Tom took the kids out on this tree to explore the view (the tree went out over the water so getting there was tricky but daddy can do anything!)

Ellie enjoyed her lunch in the stroller, she just loves to be outside.

Just a little exploring....

It's easy to have fun with such a fun crowd. We are thankful today for those in the Military who have served and who are serving now to help us enjoy this beautiful country. My cousin Philip graduated from high school this weekend and he is heading to the Naval Academy in a few weeks to follow in his dad's footsteps. We are really proud of him and excited to see how the Lord uses his service to his country for His Glory! Saying an extra prayer tonight for those in harms way around the world for our country!

what a fun day! You all sure do make the most of the outdoors, and I love that! Cute subjects to photograph! Can't wait to see you all this weekend.

We love you!
