Crazy house project machine and other misc happenings

We have been busy as bees around here working on our house. For the last 3-4 weeks we have been non-stop painting (interior and exterior), fixing fences, fixing a garage door, replacing part of our back door, cleaning, decluttering and landscaping. We are close to finishing our list, close but not there yet! Tom is awesome. He has stayed up late (it is now 1:23am and he is still painting) more nights than I can count. We also white-washed our fireplace as well which we are still trying to figure out what to do with. I would like to say that nesting has kicked in but there are days where I am tired and don't get much done to help. It has been great to see him working so hard on our home and taking care of our family at the same time. We truly are blessed with a great daddy! We did take a break this past week to head to the park to play some baseball. Here are some pics of that.

What do you think? I dont have a before picture of our fireplace, it was a lightish brown brick and I never liked it. The inside is permanately stained black from the years and years of use (remember our house is 86 years old). The pipe is also from an old stove that they used to use for heat. We aren't quite sure what to do with the inside. My friend recommended pinterest so I am going to look there for inspiration.
Ellie wanted me to take a picture of her so she could see herself. She is so cute. She is also now potty trained! Well, sort of. She hasn't had a pee pee accident in about 2 weeks so she is good there, but she also cries and refuses to do the other in the potty. She will wait until nap where she has a pull up or in the morning when she has on a diaper from the night. I know I can't make her do it, so we are just trying to be patient with her. Needless to say I have spent A LOT of time in the bathroom the last few weeks! We also started school 2 weeks ago. Life is crazy! Here are the kids 1st day of school pictures.
Ellie's sign says when she grows up she wants to be a "go up in he sky" not sure what that means. If you ask her what we should name the baby she will say every time that we should name her "a pink one". Not making a lot of sense, but not sure she understands the questions.
Savannah says she wants to be a scientist, author and illustrator.
Isaiah's sign says he wants to be a firefighter, police officer, street sweeper, ambulance driver and a helicopter pilot. I asked him later why he didn't say a baseball player and he told me he would be playing for the sandgnats when he is 19 and these other things later.

Savannah and Isaiah had their annual checkups the other day and they are both healthy! We are literally thankful each day for healthy, strong kids. Isaiah has grown a lot and the dr. says he should be about 6'1" when he is done growing. Savannah is actually back on the growth chart for the first time since she was a baby. He expects she will be about 5'9". She was upset that Isaiah will probably be taller than she is. She also failed her eye test and probably needs glasses. We will take her to the eye Dr. soon and surprisingly she is pretty excited about the possibility of glasses. Who knew! Ok, this blog post has had lots of random things, but I guess that is what happens late at night. Good Night!

Savannah and Isaiah have natural softball/baseball stances! Looking good! And of course, Ellie wants to join right in!

Great to hear from the old neighborhood. You are busy. Charlie is almost potty trained too. What is the deal with kids and poop? Oh well, we'll get there. Happy nesting:)
