Savannah continues to grow and getting bigger, stronger, more "talkative", and prepared for the spring soccer season. Every week her likes and dislikes seem to shift and her routine has a little different nuance to it. She is starting to grow into her lungs (though this is just the beginning to be sure). She is also getting stronger at holding her head up, rolling around, and her hand coordination is much improved. She may be a goalie after all.
Perhaps the greatest transition so far is the fact the Sue has finished her maternity leave and has returned to work with Richmond Social Services. This has been a hard transition for her as she returns to work (which is slow) and Tom stays home with Savannah during the day. Sue has been doing a great job of working hard and spending all her free time with Savannah. What else is there really worth doing?
Tom has made this transition a little more difficult by breaking his leg last Sunday while playing soccer. While coming off the field and describing the "pop" heard in the leg Sue says, "You probably broke it". Of course, any good husband's response to that would be, "No, that's not it." A great husband would then wrap then sore part of the leg with electrical tape then proceed to play the final 30 minutes of the game. Three days later x-rays show a broken fibula which will require a few weeks on the crutches. So far, so good however with a very helpful wife and mother and an understanding supervisor at the office.
As we move towards winter there are many unknown changes to come but we'll continue to take them as they come.
A couple final notes of Stephens family creative creations....
The annual pumpkin carving revealed two faces this year. The classic jack-o-lantern and the first ever savann-ah-lantern.
Also, Stephens Family Pizza Night was turned up a notch this week with the homemade pizza dough and crust and make your own pizza highlighted by classic pepperoni, Hawaiian, and BBQ chicken pizza (with famous Hutchinson, Kansas BBQ sauce).
And some parting extras for all you baby photo lovers out there....

Your daughter is ADORABLE! I hope that your leg heals well. Since you are on crutches I should ask if you need an elevator key (remember those from Swinford Hall?)
