So it has been too long since we have updated. Admittedly it just gets busy during the week and the combination of no internet at home, baby in the house, and a broken leg all add up to poor blog maintenance. But the point is to post at least weekly. So here is another admission of guilt and (in the political nature of Primary season) a promise to keep up better in the future.
So we are going to work backwards over the last few weeks, starting with yet another trip to the City of Staunton.
We hadn’t been back to Staunton since Labor Day weekend and Mimi was itching to see Savannah Grace before she grew too much bigger. We made a short overnight trip to Staunton and enjoyed being able to see Mimi, Aunt Jan and Uncle Lulu. I think it is safe to say that they enjoyed seeing Savannah as well. We talked several times during the weekend about how amazing it is that babies grow up so quick. Of course, I have also pointed out before that horses come out practically walking but that’s another story. In the grand scheme of our lives such a short time is spent as an immobile baby. That is especially true from the perspective of a mother or grandmother apparently.

While Savannah had a bit of a rough day after traveling the trips only continue from here. We will be heading to North Carolina at the end of this week. We will return to Richmond on Christmas day (without Dixie for a couple weeks) only to leave again on the 28th for a 5 day stint in Indiana with the Stephens clan. We look forward to seeing everyone as Savannah logs the holiday leg of her world tour.
Coming soon….check out Savannah playing with her friend Manny from Philadelphia and Dixie fighting it out with her boyfriend Buddy Beagle.

This weekend Savannah did have the fun of opening her first Christmas presents! You know that a child is really advanced when she understands Christmas really isn't about the gifts that you receive....its about the paper they're wrapped in.
