Savannah and Isaiah's BIG adventure part II

So, the adventure (aka CuzFest 2010) is over. We are all sad and we long for the days of driving long hours, staying in a hotel with two tired kids and a dog in the same room, getting up early to start all over again the next day..........ok so maybe we don't long for alllll of it! It was lots of fun for everyone to get to spend some quality time with the Stephens in IN!

Gotta love the Cracker Barrell (Savannah does have a piece of orange candy in her mouth thank you Grandpa)

Isaiah became a HUGE fan of Grandpa while we were gone, so sweet!!!!

It isn't an official Fort Wayne visit until the Merri-go-round has gone round a few times..

They also found one at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo

Josuah and his daddy Uncle Jim (I think this little boy looks just like his daddy)

Isaiah and Joshua becoming good friends, I see the fun to be had for years to come

I'm not doing anything.....

I love it

Jackie found bibs that say Got Milk? We tried to get a group pic for Grand Pap Rising since they run a dairy farm. It wasn't long before almost everyone was having a meltdown. It really was quite hilarious.

The Stephens men pitchin' shoes

I am so sad that you can barely seen baby Ben but Savannah and Izzie were both giving him some love!

Savannah and Isaiah went to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo with grandma and grandpa while we were at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. We all had a great time.

Gotta hit the playground

Isaiah apparently fell asleep in the stroller at the zoo. Savannah loved sitting next to him, she is such a great big sister.

I could just eat up that little face

My two favorite guys

Isaiah loves to fly with daddy

Chicago was fabulous! We walked and walked and walked some more! We took a day trip out to Oak Park to see Frank Loyd Wright's home and studio. We didn't do any formal tours but had a great time exploring on our own. It's a great little town. We walked up and down the magnificent mile and downtown Chicago. It really made us miss living in a big city. We needed some itching powder for our two year itch, we have been in Savannah for two and a half years!! It was great to get away and have some time for the just the two of us. Here are some pictures....

Gotta get a picture with the bean

Frank Lloyd Wright's home

We took the train in from South Bend. Dave was so great to rearrange his work schedule so he could take us and drop us off. It was great to not worry about a car and just walk around the city or use the L or buses.

One of a few shots of both of us.

The kids had a BLAST with grandma and grandpa. They actually did the same things we did, the zoo, the park, out to eat. Lots of fun!  Isaiah was practicing walking while we were gone. By the time we got home he was a semi-pro walker. I would say he is now a pro-walker. Now that I type this he just fell over on his head. Let's say he is a rookie in the pros. He walks alll over the place and LOVES to walk. He is so sweet to watch as he discovers new things and new joys. His most recent love is Savannah's tool box. He just carries it around. Last Friday we went to Home Depot with a friend and he would not let go of the toy hammer so we took it in the store. Love it!
