Little Blessings

We are still around. Don't worry the fall has not eaten us up yet. Actually it is just finally feeling somewhat like fall so it is nice. We are still hovering in the low to mid 80's each day but this past weekend it was mid 70's both days and BEAUTIFUL!!  We have been out and about going to the park and many playgrounds a lot! We also went to Valdosta GA a few weeks ago for Tom's work for a few nights and that was fun. I know you have all missed pictures of the kids so here you go......

Isaiah discovered he LOVES the slide. It is so cute to watch him walk up to the edge with no fear  and jump/slide down it!

Starting to really look like a little boy rather than a baby. I can't believe it.

Here we are in the hotel. They both loved it. As you can tell they just woke up. We do have a thumb sucker (still) and a pacifier man. We hope to break those sooner rather than later (esp. for the 3 year old!)

Decided he wanted to sit at his sister's table like a big boy!

Just in the last few days he has discovered how to get on and ride Loco the Lion. He is so proud of himself.

Savannah's reaction when I asked her to smile. She is so silly.

Isaiah like his sister loves to play with all the recycling!

Savannah is reading and I LOVE to see this. She is so sweet.

Yesterday Savannah was sick for the day (thankfully she is better today). Here is a little bit of the sweetest conversation I have had with Savannah in a while....

Savannah: God is healing me (said with excitement in her voice)
Me: Yes, He is, God loves to heal us because He loves us.
Savannah: I love God.
Me: That is wonderful because God loves you a whole lot and He loves to hear us tell Him we love Him.
Savannah: When I get to heaven I am going to run to God (said again with excitement in her voice)
Me: God wants us to run to Him. How do you think we get to heaven?
Savannah: God brings us there.
Me: You're right, God does bring us to Himself. He loves us and wants to bring us closer to Him.
Savannah: Yeah, God does it.
Me: Do you know why we can go to heaven?
Savannah: God takes us there.
Me: We get to go to heaven because Jesus died for our sins and our bad choices and Jesus allows us to spend forever with God in heaven because He of his sacrifice.
Savannah: I love Jesus.
Me: That is wonderful, Jesus loves you so much and He loves to hear us tell Him that we love him.
Savannah: I love you mommy.
Me: (Almost crying at this point) I love you very much too Savannah.

It was so amazing to be able to share the gospel with Savannah. She is three and doesn't completely understand that God chooses to draw us to himself and wants us to trust Him with our lives, our past, our present and our future. She understands that she makes bad choices and that makes God sad. She knows Jesus died for her bad choices and for all of our sins. She understands that God loves her sooo much that He allowed Jesus to die. I don't think she understands the heaviness that comes with the gospel. The seriousness of our sins and the penalty we deserve. She knows her middle name is Grace. I am so excited to share with her more and more each day about the grace of God that He showed by allowing Jesus to take our place and the penalty of our sins so that we can spend eternity praising and worshiping Him for that sacrifice. I love being able to tell her about God and Jesus. It's a huge responsibility to be a parent but it's these moments where I see the Lord working in Savannah's life regardless of how I have failed as her parent. God is so amazing. He rescued us from an eternity separated from Him and He even gives us blessings in our life each day. You are amazing Lord! I praise you for who you are and how much you love us!
