It's a white Christmas...

Last year (and I think the year before) we were in IN for Christmas and had snow at some point during our visit (often on the way to IN and ended up rerouted or skidding off the highway, but that's another story...).  This year we have been in NC for Christmas and are actually still here (those of us who don't have to go to work that is). The kids and I have been enjoying some time with my family here and it has been nice.  Well, much to our surprise, we had a white Christmas AGAIN this year! They actually got between 4-5 inches so a good snow! As we celebrated Christmas Savannah wore her new shirt just for Jesus' birthday. We had a great time reading the Christmas story and talking about Jesus together early in the morning before the day got under way. It was a sweet family time that I won't forget.
This shirt speaks for itself.....

Before we left home, we let the kids open their presents (some of them) that were at the house. The kids got a recordable story book about the first Chirstmas read by Grandma Stephens, they love it!

So excited about the wolfpack....

One of my family traditions is a big box of Whitman's Sampler to pass around as we opened presents. Savannah of course thought this was a great idea. She also had to sit next to my cousin Katie who played with her all weekend and Savannah loved every minute of it.

Jayne, Harrison and Jason (I think Savannah took this)

Savannah also took this picture of the trash pile, I thought it was hillarious althought I might be the only one.....

Isaiah slept through the whole opening of presents thing. He was tired so he opened his a little later. At this age they still don't really get it.

Savannah and Harrison with my cousin Philip and my uncle Rick, just some Christmas afternoon relaxing...

A quick pic of some ladies in the kitchen. I have to give a big shout out to my mom who spent lots of time in the kitchen the whole weekend and really did a great job hosting lots of people, thanks mom!

By mid afternoon this was outside. It was so beautiful!

Savannah getting ready to make a big snow ball. They liked it for a while until.....

Diving on a pile of snow, she had a blast. We went out again after daddy went home and she learned how to make snow angels. I think that is her favorite thing to do now!
Isaiah wasn't sure what to think about it. She stood there for a while then slowly started to walk around and inspect it. He played just a little before......

Face plant in the snow. We went in right after that. I love this face!
