Celebrate good times

Well here it is a week into January and we haven't even blogged about the end of December..... Well let me catch you up. We have had a great time celebrating all that the end of one year brings while a new year starts.

Grammy Walker (Sue's mom) came down a few days after Christmas to see us and we had a great time! We rarely get pictures when others visit because we so busy showing off the kids and the city.... sorry mom! Fortunately Grammy stayed an extra day so we could go out on a much needed birthday date. We've rarely paid for babysitters as it isn't in our budget so when our free babysitters graduated and moved our dates ceased to exist- that was May!  December 31st is Sue's birthday so we got to go out for her birthday and even made it home by 9! We enjoyed some great dinner, walked around Historic Savannah watching the revelers then had dessert at LuLu's Chocolate Bar which was awesome! They even brought me a chocolate covered strawberry since it was my birthday.  When asked what was next on our New Year's Eve/Birthday celebration Sue said..."probably bed".  So much for staying up until midnight.

 Tom and the kids made signs for my birthday, so sweet, I loved them!

We spent the last week catching up on things around the house and jumping back into Cross Culture with a 2012 Kickoff Concert featuring a few of our friends who are local Christian rappers! It was great and we had a big crowd come out! It is amazing to see how God can transform someone's life and redeem it for his glory and to their great gain as well.

This is Certified Truth (CT) a good friend who has a true heart for the gospel! We love him and his family. We had another friend named Nazarene perform but we couldn't get a video of him as our memory card space ran out! Check out Naz's myspace page here Nazarene.

 

Finally, we have also been spending lots of time outside just enjoying one another and the weather as the past few days have been around 70 degrees and beautiful. Tom came home from Cross Culture Thursday and said "I love winter in Savannah" We went to the park today and took some pictures of the kids (read: attempted). Grandma and Grandpa sent them matching shirts and we got some pictures of them in their shirts!

Now you know why I said attempted. Savannah wasn't upset she was just not excited to take pictures for so long (it was 10-15 minutes)

I guess it's time for a belly picture then. Here we are at 28 1/2 weeks. All is well with baby and we are looking forward to the next 3 months preparing..... What a maginficent blessing!!!
