A sweet spring wedding

We have been talking about weddings a lot lately as some good friends of our are graduating from SCAD and getting married this coming weekend. We (all 5 of us) went to their wedding shower picnic 2 weekends ago and the kids are super excited that Mr. Carson and Ms. Eny are getting married.  Mr. Carson played baseball for SCAD and we went to several of their games so you know Isaiah is looking forward to it. As a result Savannah wanted to have a wedding the other night. So after dinner we all got dressed up and ready for a wedding. Savannah of course was the BEAUTIFUL bride and daddy was the groom (although at the last minute he tried to get her to marry Isaiah. She did NOT want to marry him but marry daddy!) It was super sweet and it was so fun to see how much she loves daddy and want to be close to him.

I pray that one day she will be married to a man who loves the Lord as much as her daddy does. God designed marriage. He desired it to picture the relationship of Christ and the Church. He created man and woman to be joined as one. Christ died for His bride (us if we are part of the Church-the body of Christ-Christ followers). Christ gave us the wonderful union of man and woman to show us how we can be an example of His love for sinners. He laid down His life for us (even when we didn't deserve it) so we could be reconciled to Him. What a beautiful image this has. I pray God allows each of our children to be married to a man (or woman for Isaiah) who understands that and desires to live that out in their lives. I would say I can't wait for their wedding days, but I can wait!!! They grow up so fast! Ellie attended but was asleep in my arms the whole time!

 The bride
The Pastor (a last minute role given- see video) and the groom

I apologize for the video moving around so much, I was holding sleeping Ellie and trying to capture the memory!

Sharing their first dessert (a cookie)
Isaiah likes to dance with daddy by just hanging on him
Everyone was ready to dance and celebrate!

During the reception, Isaiah decided he wanted to play baptism. He wanted to baptise Savannah (appropriate since he was the pastor). It was so sweet!

The kids just watched daddy baptise one of the kids from the ministry we do at our church- Cross Culture. Awesome for them to see this and want to replicate it. We talked about what it means that Sunday and then again that night. So sweet!
