Daddy go go..... and he did!

Ever since Tom ran the Rock and Roll Half Marathon last year the kids have talked and talked about seeing daddy "go, go". Well, on the city's dime he ran it again! (The city pays for city employees to run as a way to encourage heathly living as part of their health and wellness program!) This year we ventured downtown to see Tom at mile 4, 8 and the finish. Tom did awesome! He ran it in 1 hour 37 minutes and some change. That beat his previous half times by at least 2 minutes which is hard to do when you are running so fast! He has been sore but feeling great since the race as well. We are so very proud of him!

This was at mile 4, it was kinda chilly at the beginning of the race (maybe 50 degrees) but warmed up and was a beautiful day!

The kids were so excited to see him, cheer for him and show him the signs they made for him. Savannah even told me she wanted to run a race with daddy when she gets bigger. We saw a son and his father running together and she decided she wanted to do that with daddy one day.
We then hung out at Forsyth Park for a while enjoying the morning (the finish line was at Forsyth Park)

Savannah and Isaiah are signed up to do a kids fun run at the Trail of Hope 5K/10K this weekend which supports a local Christian Adoption agency. The kids are sooo excited. Daddy is going to do the 10K if his quads are feeling better.

These are some pictures of the kids from the park last week that I never uploaded. Our computer is needing to be replaced after the piece holding the charger in stopped working. We have a friend who might be able to fix it but he said it is a touchy place to do some soldering so we might just need to buy a new one, ugh. Good thing Christmas sales are coming up. In th meantime we have a borrowed one from our church and are thankful that our pastors are such MAC fans because they let us use their old PC!
