We have been busy lately with a trip to Tallahassee, FL, Hull Park Spring soccer beginning and doing home school. We took a trip over the long Presidents Day weekend to visit my grandmother, aunt and uncle and cousin in Florida. We had an AWESOME time and treasured every minute we got to spend with all of them. My grandmother just turned 85 about a week ago and we had a surprise birthday lunch for her. She seemed really happy. It has been wayyyy too long since we have seen her and we hope it won't be so long until we see her again. My aunt and uncle (also know to our kids as Great Jayne and Pappy Jon) were so gracious to host us and share their home and lives with us. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
Ellie spent several days once we got back saying "miss Great Jayne", "see Great Jayne". She loves her and it was so sweet to see her warm up to her and spend time playing with Great Jayne and Nana.
We also spent a few days recently babysitting for a friend from church. Ellie LOVED the baby and wanted to hold her ALLL day long.
We are getting close to finishing the 1st grade stuff we had planned for this year so I just ordered more home school books. We are finishing up our science book on the swimming creatures of the 5th day and are moving onto land animals (per Savannah's request). She is so smart and homeschooling may be hard A LOT of the time, but I love watching her learn new things and be excited for all the wonderful things there is to learn in our great big world!
We started soccer again this past Saturday and have almost 30 kids on the Tropical Storm and Hurricane teams! We are so excited and the kids love it!
Hopefully we will have an update again soon (we'll try hard to keep it from being weeks and weeks from now).
