Well, if you know anything about what we have been doing for the past 10 months, you know we have been looking and looking for a house to buy. We could get wayyyy more for our money buying than renting so we really wanted to find something to buy instead of rent. Since the beginning of March we have had the honor and priviledge of living with an amazing couple named Frank and Sylvia Whitlock. They LOVE our kids and us well and pray for us each day. They were generous to open their home to allll 6 of us and we will forever be thankful for that. We finally found a home this summer and after negotiating back and forth for about a month, we got it worked out in August and closed last week. It needs some work so we are trying to juggle that with Tom working, me homeschooling (as much as we can in the chaos) and trying to prepare to move. Life is super crazy right now but we are praying this is the homestretch before we can move in. It still needs a whole lot of work after we move in but some things have to be done first. We hope to move this weekend or next (probably next). Here are a few pics of our new abode!
This wall had ugly flowery thin board on it to cover up this old doorway where the house used to be duplexes.
Tom and his parents knocked out this wall to make a place to recess to fridge to add more room to the kitchen.
The kids love the front porch!
We knocked a hole in this wall to make the flow of the house better.
The house had some cabinets for the kitchen and we bought some from Craigslist that almost match perfectly so it's a big cabinet puzzle to figure out how to make them work.
Who in their right mind puts laminate flooring on beautiful hardwoods. It was awful to remove.
