The last week or so has certainly been a busy one. In nine days our Civic has put on about 2000 miles, covered more than half of the eastern seaboard, and gone from 72 and sunny to 25 and snowing in just 24 hours.
To get you all caught up we’ll start from last week with our day trip to Staunton.
Since we are moving soon we thought it would be a good idea to visit with our family while we were still somewhat close by. Last week we took a day and went to Staunton to see Mimi, Uncle Lulu and Aunt Jan.
The reality of moving has started to settle in a little more and we realize that we are really going to miss being close to the mountains. The Shenandoah Valley really is a beautiful place so we tried to get some photos while we could, though the weather didn’t help out a whole lot.

The highlight of the day was taken Savannah to Pufferbellies toy store in downtown Staunton. It is a great new small business with all kinds of great fun things for kids (and child like adults) to play with. It’s a big step up from your typical KB Toys.
We then enjoyed a good lunch at Ciro’s Pizza in Staunton before heading home to play with the new toys. At the end of it the day we were tired but glad to have had the chance to spend some time with family. And Savannah enjoyed the chance to show off her new tricks, especially her improving crawling skills.
More updates to come from the week gone by…
