9 Months

So we haven’t updated everyone (I mean our few family members that read this) since she turned 9 months old last week. It’s official that we have a very good walker on our hands. We had to go out and buy a pair of shoes that she wouldn’t take off to walk around other places other than the house. Sue and Savannah went to the reading time at the library this week with other children under 2 years old and Savannah was walking all around and looked so cute since everyone else was over 1 at least and she looked so tiny walking with them. We are so proud of her. Tom is especially proud as Savannah in her 9 month glory has started liking to kick a ball that we have and Tom believes she is a natural for soccer! So here are some pictures that we took at Forsyth Park for her 9 month pictures recently.

Isn't the fountain beautiful!

What a cutie!

Yoga for babies?

Savannah didn’t really want to sit still for the pictures, she thought there was way too much stuff at the park to play with instead, such as the leaves! After we took those pictures last weekend we went with our realtor to see a few more houses. We liked all of the houses that we saw last weekend and we have it down to two different houses. We hope to put an offer in on one of them pretty soon so we will keep you up to date! That means that if anyone wants to help us move AGAIN in the 100 degree heat please feel free to let us know and we will accommodate you!
Mother’s Day

So my first official mother’s day was a great one! Savannah went to the store and got some beautiful flowers and other items to make breakfast for me. We had a nice breakfast with a nice card from her and we spent the day enjoying time with each other. We also did laundry too but what mother doesn’t enjoy the laundry mat on Mother’s Day. We continue the church hunt here in Savannah and have found that with a 9 month old it will be harder than we thought as we want to find a place that is welcoming to us having her with us in the services at least for now. We know that God has planned a community for us here and we are waiting patiently for his direction and timing.

Dog Carnival

The previous weekend we went to Forsyth Park for the Dog Carnival. We knew that we would love it here in Savannah because they do fun stuff like this, a carnival for dogs. There was booth after booth of services, apparel, and things to do with your dog. Dixie enjoyed the other dogs more than the booths but everyone had a great time. As you can see by the pictures, they even had dog races. Don’t worry it was humane, no Michael Vick dog fighting, just seeing whose dog is the fastest. Suprisingly, the races that we watched were mainly won by the small to medium sized dogs and not the powerhouse big dogs!

We have also started exploring downtown, the river, the squares and the history of Savannah on Friday nights! It really is a beautiful city and there is a lot to explore before it gets too hot to get out and do so!

Sitting by the Savannah River

This is Sue if you couldn’t tell yet, and I wanted to end by saying that we would appreciate prayers and thoughts for my grandmother Mimi and her health. We lived with her for a while in 2006 and she came to Savannah’s dedication at the end of March. She was doing great then and we miss her very much. We were really close to her living in Richmond and are sad that we can’t be there with her as she isn’t feeling well. We love you Mimi and pray that you start feeling better soon. We leave you with more random Savannah faces.
