Visitors and more!

My sister Jayne, her husband Jason and BG (baby grubbs) came to visit this past weekend. They came down here with their neighbors and friends who have a little boy that is 18 months old and we had a great time! We spent some time on River Street and then walking around some of the squares downtown. It ended up being pretty good weather for the end of June in Georgia. We also played at the pool the next day and went out to eat at The Crab Shack (“where the elite eat in their barefeet”) and walked along the beach at Tybee after eating. Jayne and Jason came to Savannah for a few days on their honeymoon and loved the Crab Shack so we just had to go to help them relive some memories. The food was great and it really is a very relaxed, good quality seafood restaurant. They even have live alligators that you can feed! We took some good pictures there, here are just a few.

The beach was beautiful at night, we haven’t been there at night before, we should start going more often. Savannah fell asleep before we got to the beach but quickly woke up and I have never heard her talking so much. She was on Tom’s shoulders facing the water and the wind and she was just talking away, it was so cute! I think she was giving God some major props on the beauty of the ocean. I think there is a song that talks about looking at the ocean and being reminded of God’s faithfulness. I think that is why we like it so much because you can’t help but be reminded that there is a faithful good God who loves us and is HUGE, I mean seriously look at the ocean and try not to think about our Father the Creator of the universe, it’s not possible for me at least!

We also went to Savannah’s favorite spot at the mall to play on the soft toys and Savannah, Aunt Jayne and Uncle Jason had a good time playing! She was exhausted after we left!

Savannah has also discovered that she has a favorite toy his name is “baa baa” as you can imagine he is a sheep that plays Jesus Loves Me and she wakes up almost every morning now pointing at him saying “baa baa” and then picks him up and loves him. My Aunt Jan and Uncle Lulu gave it to her when she was a baby and it is her favorite now! It is so cute to see her start doing things like cuddling with toys and taking them for walks (by that I mean she picks them up by their heads and walks around her room with them.) I guess she got the idea because we take Dixie for walks all the time.

UNDER CONTRACT!


We are officially under contract to buy a house here in Savannah, GA!!! We really do like the house a lot and are exicted about the possibilites that we can do with it. It is an 80+ year old house that has recently been somewhat renovated but we do need finish up some things and add our own touches. We love the front porch and it is about 4 blocks from Daffin Park here which is a huge park with lots of fields, a fountain, tennis courts, a playground and the Savannah SandGnats stadium. We are supposed to close at the end of the month which is super fast but we think we can do it! Very exciting!!! Here is the picture Tom posted before of the house as a reminder of which house it is. It is 3 bed, 1 bath with a large bonus space upstairs and we got it for a pretty good price we think.
