We took a few birthday photos of the kids to make party invitations (which never showed up in the mail). So here are some of our favorites.
Savannah did a great job with her photo shoot and really was excited for her upcoming birthday.
After talking about her upcoming birthday, making plans for the party and inviting a few of her friends from church, Savannah was really ready for the day of celebration to begin. Of course, it is a birthday
so we make sure to spend the whole day in celebration...starting with a delicious birthday breakfast.

After breakfast and cleaning up we begin decorating for the party. Savannah helped to set the table and hang some of the decorations. If we had a "theme" it was about celebrated our lively and "colorful" little girl.

After a lunch of Savannah's favorites (read: Chick-fil-a) we of course had an official sugary sweet chocalate birthday cake. Savannah had no trouble with the candles, or putting away some cake at that.
After cake we headed upstairs to the newly cleaned, organized, painted but not yet carpeted walk up attic for some painting activities. We didn't know what to expect with a handful of young kids with paint brushes in their hands but it really was great and all the kids seemed to enjoy it. Savannah definitely was the free spirit artist of the group who had little regard for Daddy's rigid rules of staying in the lines.
The finished product really was great. Savannah's sign on top looked like a reinterpretation of the rainbow and shooting star. It will go to an art auction next week. Feel free to purchase before then.
After painting we finished up with a couple presents from friends, including the Disney princess hop scotch puzzle which Savannah loved. She is very to hop scotch now.
Later we opened a few presents from family, including Savannah's new tent and tunnel. It has already served as an office, house and car.
After a long and fun filled day Savannah was very happy but very tired as well. We thank God for her and look forward to many more celebrations of the life He has given her.
