We spent the first night with my aunt and uncle in Smithfield, VA. On our way to Richmond we made a pit stop in historic Williamsburg, VA. This is Tom and Isaiah on the car ferry over there. He loved it. Savannah wasn't so sure so she stayed in the car.
Another ferry passing by.
Our attempt at getting a picture of both kids under the BEAUTIFUL leaves. Not so successful. We were so glad to see the leaves all over VA, it really made it feel like fall since our leaves don't change down here (they are all pine, live oak and magnolia) we miss it but love the week of azaelas in the spring. It's not really an even exchange.
Right before the start of the race. It was cold but it turned out to be PERFECT weather the whole time.
We did it!
We loved that the shirts said Richmond Suntrust Marathon with McDonald's Half Marathon in small print. Makes us look like marathoners (well Tom is but I certainly am not).
Look at that form!!!!
Our good friends Justin and Ashley (whom we dearly miss) allowed us to stay with them for the weekend, hosted a get together with lots of our friends after the race, and took care of Savannah and Isaiah while we ran. After we met up with them, we hung out on the Capitol lawn for the kids to play and enjoy the weather for a while. It was so nice to just spend time together and relax! Savannah and Wiley had a great time playing together all weekend (they are only a few months apart in age).
(Nice work TJ)
Look at that scenery!
Look at precious Adeleine! She is such a cutie and we loved watching she and Isaiah play (they too are only a few months apart in age!)
Wiley is a HUGE fan of trucks and Isaiah quickly jumped on the bandwagon.
I loved this picture because Savannah is obviously telling Wiley something with some force, look at his face, hillarious!
Our atempt to get a picture of all the kids, lets just say it didn't go so well. They were all looking at the trash truck picking up the trash.
Pretty close to everyone looking...
Another attempt to get a picture of both kids, they just don't like to look at the camera. Oh well!!!
