A little about Isaiah

Here are a few things you might not know about Isaiah....

He really enjoys brushing his teeth. He isn't too good at it but gets pretty excited about it when he see the toothbrush come out. He also loves bedtime routines. On nights where he is particularly tired and we try to put him down before we have read, flipped over daddy, prayed and said the proper goodnights he gets upset.

He is really starting to get interested in listening to a story (a short one). We have always read to them but he is starting to be more and more interested. He also likes to "read" by himself!

Ok, several things about this picture. He needs a haircut. We know he does but we like the shaggy look on him. One of the pastors at our church and his wife are expecting and he said he hoped it is a boy so he can one day have shaggy hair like Isaiah's!  He also LOVES to wear shoes that aren't his. Usually they are mine or Savannah (see later picture) but today he wanted to wear daddy's. Notice the plastic bag in his hand as well. This child is obsessed with trash. He loves to carry a bag around and say trash and then put random things in there. Today before we went to the beach he carried a bag around and put two of Savannah's unmatching shoes in there. We carried it all the way to the beach and he wanted to play with his "trash". He loves to walk Dixie as well so he can pick up some leaves and carry it to the trashcan after we clean up after dixie, it is hilarious. He also points out each and every trash can he sees.

Notice the shoes. He though he was big stuff standing up there with mommy's shoes on.

You can't really tell here, but he has these crazy beautiful eyes. His eyes are a greenish/brown in the center and blue around the outside. I don't know what to call them when asked. Can you say blue if they are only about 50% blue? I love them and think they are so beautiful. Hopefully one day his future wife will appreciate them for how cool they are!

He likes to drink the milk from his cereal bowl often before the cereal is gone. If anyone else at the table drink their milk, he takes that as his cue that he can drink it.

He is starting to talk a little more but often comes up to us and holds his hands like this if he can't find something or if he is having trouble with something.

He also does not like timeouts. When he has a timeout he sits quietly with a very sad look on his face. When you come to talk to him he jumps up smiling and jumps into your arms. It is adorable. He learns from the timeouts though as he will change his behavior and do what you asked right away.

These are just a few things about our sweet little boy. He is such a joy and blessing to us. I can't believe he will be 2 in 9 weeks. (I only know because Savannah wanted to sit down and count the number of weeks until her birthday the other day). We love you Isaiah James!
