After traveling to Indiana in September and North Carolina and Pennsylvania in November we decided to stay put for Christmas this year. It is the first time we have done this and not traveled to see family. We definately missed everyone a lot but I think overall it was a great Stephens family Christmas. We tried to spend the weeks before Christmas preparing and enjoying time together. The week before Christmas we did something fun together every night as a family from going out for frozen yogurt to making cooking to pass out to our neighbors and eating cookies while looking at Christmas lights (we did this several nights)! Here are some pictures of our Christmas.
We hit up the park several days in the week before Christmas as it was around 70 and sunny. The kids even played in the fountain and had a blast!
They did a lot of running so all the pictures of them are mainly action shots.
Notice her shirt says let it snow. That didn't happen this year (or has it ever happened here!)
Off to the BIG Christmas light display in town. They have 5-6 songs that the lights are synchronized to, the kids loved it!
On Christmas Eve daddy was off and we decorated a gingerbread house. The kids love it!
They really wanted to eat all the candy but opted for sticking it to the house instead after much persuasion!

On Christmas Eve night we went to church (which was awesome) and then came home and had country ham and biscuits. Great choice by my awesome husband! We then sent the kids to bed and decorated our house for a birthday. Our kids LOVE to decorate for people's birthdays (namely balloons and streamers). We had tons of balloons and streamers for Jesus' birthday.
Savannah woke up around 7:30 and came into the living room by herself and sat on the couch and just giggled. She was then excited to go get Isaiah and play with the balloons, it was awesome!
I put this picture in here because of Isaiah's shirt. I am not sure if you can tell but he somehow unbuttoned a few buttons of his shirt and didn't want us to do it back. He liked going bare chest. Too funny
We went upstairs to do our Jesse Tree for the final ornament. The kids have loved reading all the different Bible stories leading up to Jesus and learning about the history of God's people. Savannah has also done a great job of memorizing most of Luke 2 (check out the video in the next post)
I asked isaiah to hold up this new shirt but he didn't do it. Grandma and Grandpa sent a shirt for all 3 kids with their picture and the words "We love Grandma and Grandpa", it was so sweet!
The kids also got an indoor basketball hoop from Grandma and Grandpa, they enjoyed the box and daddy has enjoyed playing basketball (ok so the kids have too but we all know it is hard for daddy's to resist basketball hoops in the house!!!)
On the 26th we headed out to Tybee for a meeting Tom had and then headed to the beach for a few minutes. We got there around 5 and it was pretty chilly with the wind.
