Every year around Christmas the Westin resort hotel on the river hosts a gingerbread house contest. We were hoping to be inspired (and or humbled) for our own gingerbread creation at home so we headed to River Street to catch the ferry over to Hutchinson Island and the gingerbread village. It was a little gray and windy but still a great day to be outside in December.

Following are lots of pictures showing many of the amazing and creative gingerbread creations - many representing Savannah scenes.

After getting inspired we headed home for our own creation. We'll allow the voters to decide who was best in show...with only grandparent votes counted.
