Updates

I apologize for the long time between posts, I didn't realize it had been so long! Things have been a little bit out of the ordinary around here, let me explain. Well, we are expecting Isaiah any day now and because of that we did not make the trip to Indiana, PA the week of the 4th of July to celebrate with all of Tom's dad's side of the family because his grandmother was turning 85. They had a great time and you can check out Dave and Jackie's blog for pictures. Dave and Jackie Well, that Friday, July 10th, Tom's mom called and said that his grandmother had a heart attack and passed away. We were in shock as was all of his family. We are so thankful for the time that everyone had to spend with her celebrating the previous weekend but so sad that we were not able to be there. She was such a sweet lady who truly loved the Lord and loved to read His word and pray and spend time with her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone! So Tom flew to PA on Tuesday of last week and was gone until Thursday evening. My mom, sister and Harrison came down for those few days so that I wouldn't be here by myself in case I went into labor. Tom asked me what I would do if I did go into labor and I wasn't really sure so it was fabulous to have my mom and sister here just in case! We had a great time and Savannah and Harrison really enjoyed playing with each other! Harrison is getting so big so fast and it was really nice to have a few days to play with him and enjoy him at such a fun age! I did not however take many pictures (well none at all actually) while they were here so here are my mom's pictures. Savannah and Harrison.

Then Friday was our 5th Anniversary!!!! We went to The Wiz which was put on by the Savannah cultural affairs department and was really good! Tom is such a sweet husband and got the tickets to surprise me.

We then came home and took Savannah out to dinner with us at a local mexican restaurant, come on, where else do we ever go! Savannah LOVES to eat the salsa, she could take or leave the chips but the salsa she would drink if she could (she actually picked it up and tried to drink it from the bowl at one point!) Our babysitter could only stay for a short time so we enjoyed our anniversary celebration with Savannah and had a great time as a family.

Yummy, yummy

We then went to a newly opened Gelato place hoping to get a good mango gelati but there was no mango waterice, but it was good none the less. After some time in one of the squares we came home and had a great time!

Savannah was giving Isaiah a present (bark chips), such a sweet sister she is!

So for now we are just hanging out waiting for Isaiah, he is due on the 31st and I had contractions all weekend but nothing to signal labor so we wait! I love being pregnant so I am trying to savor these last few days of carring Isaiah around. Tom has commented recently about how big Savannah has gotten and how grown up she looks so I need to cherish this time because before we know it, Isaiah will be this age and we will wonder where the time went.

One last story, so we went to the airport to pick Tom up on Thursday and Savannah was sitting on my lap (with the little room that is left there) leaning back to see if she could see Tom after his flight had landed. She kept saying "I don't see him." Then mommy saw him and told Savannah that he was coming. She then saw him and jumped out of my lap and yelled "Daddy" and went running for him. She ran to him, jumped to hug him and gave him a kiss! I almost cried it was so cute and Tom came over and said "I think that was the cutest thing I have ever seen!" She loves her daddy and was sure glad to have him home. We were so thankful that the Lord allowed Tom to make it home safely and we are thankful for Grandma Stephens' life and love. Her legacy of trusting in God and following Jesus will be what we remeber most about her. We miss you Grandma!

I have been wanting to see that play. Was it good? I'm telling you, we need to open a waterice place and make our million!
