St Pats Characters

So Savannah is well known as a city of interesting characters.  When you add in the craziness of St. Patrick's Day (as Sue described previously) and bring along a camera you get some interesting images.  Here are some more pictures, complements of a coworker.

Any good parade apparently has to have the Budweiser horses (and the dalmation)

Lots of old men (or their family members) who may or may not be important the rest of the year are quite important on St. Patrick's Day and can be identified by their green sashes.

The procession official starts at the Cathedral which is a great spot to see how deep the crowd can get.

If there is a 'Father St. Patrick's' this guy must be him

Make your own caption below. This is a spectator by the way, not a parade entrant

The parade has plenty of viewers from surrounding balconies

Again, provide your own caption

We see this guy below all over town with his signs throughout the year.  Great message if an unorthodox way of sharing it.

This lady is enjoying herself and likely someone's proud grandmother.

150 years later and still marching

Plenty of young folks get involved in the crowd

Big green hair should always be in style

Not sure what's going on here

Man dressed as pizza. Why not?

More Naz-T-Butt.  Its litter too!

A parting shot of the City's float again. The rubber chicken is an annual part of the float. This year being deep fried...before cooling, containing and trashing the grease of course.
