Easter and a few misc. things

It will surprise no one that Tom and Isaiah were matching today for Easter. They match EVERY Sunday (and often times an attempt is made by Isaiah during the week). Today they looked especially handsome.

 Here are the girls. Tom looked at this picture and said it wouldn't be long before Savannah was taller than me, seriously, yikes!

We had the chance to worship together with our entire church today (we usually have 4 services each week) and it was great! What a joy to see how the Lord is working at Community Bible Church and in Savannah. We are honored to be able to attend and serve there! What a great way to celebrate the forgiveness of our sins and Jesus' victory over death!!!


In other news, we finally had a new roof put on our house. After saving, planning, searching for someone to do it and more saving, we did it. Our roof was original to the house (built in 1928) and was a metal shingle roof. We replaced it with an architectural shingle roof. We would have preferred a new metal roof but that would have been more saving and more leaks. It was leaking in several rooms and when the last rain storm hit our whole back porch was wet - no good. After the roof was done we heard some scratching in the walls, yep squirrels. We think the squirrel got out through a hole in our utility closet after we set a trap for him. We do NOT want the smell of a dead squirrel in the wall, yuck!

These were just some of the old metal shingles, they were in rough shape!

We are going to be having our final soccer practice and cook out tomorrow night since it was super rainy here Friday and Saturday and the grass was way too wet to play Saturday morning). I'll try to remember to take some pictures! I hope everyone had a wonderful day of celebrating new life in Christ.
