A few updates

Well, we survived the snow and made it back to Louisville this past weekend just in time to play with daddy for a while. Ohh how the kiddos missed him (and so did I). We have been working hard to do lots of school and play lots of board games. I can' tell you how impressed I am each day with how good these kids are at games. Isaiah LOVES to challenge himself and play Qwirkle (if you haven't heard of it you should get it), Kings in the Corners (like solitare but a little more challenging) and checkers. I actually almost lost to Isaiah in checkers yesterday and I am NOT one to let my kids win just so they can win, they need to learn how to play the game and win and lose well. I wish I knew how to play chess as I think Isaiah would love it. Seriously, this kid is barely 5 1/2 (we just celebrated Isaiah and Savannah's birthdays with an ice cream from McDonalds). He is such a thinker and love math and numbers, I am so excited to see where the Lord is going to take him in his life! Savannah sits back and thinks through moves and loves to win as well. We also watched a video from the library  yesterday about Jane Gooddall and her study of the chimpanzees in Tanzania. Savannah has been excited to learn about primates in her science book this year. As creationists we have had to deal with evolution as we have studied more into science and it has been good to have those conversations about how God created people in His image and He loves us. We want to make sure that our children know that there are many views out there about where people came from but that God's Word is the source we need to go to first to understand God's plan for people and for each of them. There are so many questions that are challenging to answer but we are praying we give our children confidence to believe the Truth and courage to challenge others in the scientific community that don't believe in God.  Anyway, here are a few recent pictures!

Isaiah couldn't decide who to cheer for Louisville or UVA. He picked Louisville for the first half and changed shirts for the second half. Good choice man.

Tom took the kids to do some hiking Sunday afternoon while Caroline napped and I did a few things around the house.

Ellie loves to have her picture taken, she told me to go get the camera to take her picture here. Love this. Caroline also learned to roll over from her back to her front at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She will be 4 months old tomorrow, STOP GROWING UP SO FAST KID!!!!
