Sunday was a beautiful day here so we took Savannah and Dixie to Forsyth Park with what seemed like most of Savannah . There were lots of dogs and Savannah wanted to play with all of them I think. For a while she was content just playing with Dixie and walking her. She then discovered the playground and didn't want to leave. It is a playground for 5-12 year olds so almost 18 months is quite a bit under the age suggestion but none the less she wanted to play. She went to the top and then decided that it was too scary to go down the big slides. That was the time that a large number of bigger kids decided to play on the equiptment so we came down and went for the swings instead. After swinging for a while she then discovered that there is a large step down from the sidewalk to the mulch for the playground area. She began to jump off of the sidewalk then climb back up and jump again. She had such a good time. We also spent some time just watching other children which she has been pretty content to do lately. As always it is hard to get a picture with her looking at the camera but here are a few.
Dixie doesn't always enjoy Savannah walking her but she is tolerating it!

She also decided she liked climbing onto the benches only to climb back down and do it again.
I think she even thought about climbing the fence to get to the fountain.
Nothing like a good jog on daddy's shoulders!
She has been really into sitting in big people seats lately and loves to just climb up next to you on the couch and say "book". She has also started climbing on everything in her room. She will find something, turn it over and use it to get to something else that she wants. She is so smart! Here are a few of her climbing some of the furniture in her room.

She is actually climbing in a container for some blocks that she has.
We see this scene all to often lately. Holding the bumper and sucking her thumb. We think it has gotten worse lately and we are considering moving the bumper out of her bed or maybe even going ahead and moving her into a toddler bed soon to hopefully stop the thumb sucking. I sucked my thumb until I was in 4th grade I think and had to get braces. We are NOT going to let it go on that long for sure.
