Saturday fun at the mall

Since it was chilly (I emphasize the chilly part because it has been really cold in a lot of places lately so I don't want to act like it is cold down here because it isn't really) today we decided to take Savannah to the mall this morning to play. She found something new to play with and boy did she enjoy it. It was the little toys (usually planes or cars) that move when you put money in them and little kids love them. Well she decided she was going to be the driver of the story telling bus. She was a good driver only taking her eyes off of the road to play with the button on the side that would tell a story if you put money in them. We didn't because at this point she just loves the buttons and could care less that if you pushed them something would happen. Daddy decided to get in for a quick trip and she liked having a passenger. She cried when we finally left and didn't want to go but she was tired and hungry and we had to get home to feed her and let her take a nap. That's right we went to the mall and didn't spend any money at all. We are not the people they hope to attract with their toys and play areas for small children. We didn't buy anything at a store, we didn't buy any food at the food court and we didn't even stop for mexican at the mexican restaurant there, although chips and salsa calls our name every time. Savannah did have a good time though and helped her to spend more time socializing with other children. She ventured out more this trip than she did with just daddy last week, although we could still see a new shy side of her that wanted to just do her own thing. It is really amazing to watch her grow and change so much so quickly.
