Weekend update

We had a great weekend enjoying Savannah and all that it has to offer. On Saturday morning we took a short trip to the beach and discovered that the morning really is the best time to go. People were flocking to the beach when we left about 11:30 so we made a good choice to go early. Savannah on the other hand was not at all interested in the water and even cried when we walked into the water with her, which is very unlike her. Maybe she was just tired, we will continue to see if that changes as our trips become more frequent!

Saturday afternoon we headed to Forsyth Park for the sidewalk arts festival (we actually missed the festival part), but enjoyed seeing the sidewalk chalk art and playing on the playground of course! Here are a few of our favorites!

Sunday afternoon we went to Lake Mayer park and enjoyed a nice walk around the lake and a picnic complete with ducks to feed! Savannah loved the ducks and we think we will rename the park "duck park". We wanted to rename it "turtle park" because of the large number of turtles we saw in the water, but when asked Savannah said "no" to the idea!

She was pretty good at feeding the ducks, looks like she is going to have a good throwing arm!

Her new favorite breakfast is cereal with milk! Drinking the milk is always the best part!

I made a big mommy error the other day. On the way home from target I gave Savannah a few chocolate covered soy nuts to see if she would like them. I got home, turned around and this is what I saw. She liked them alright, I just didn't think about the mess she would make with them, oops!

At the mall today, she loves all things bikes and motorcycles lately, she really thought about checking out another kids bike at the park last night until we told her it was not Savannah's to play with!
